About the Artist
“I use childhood memories to paint my surreal Oklahoma landscapes. I like designing in different shapes, like circles, rectangles with arched tops, bottoms or sides, or diamonds. Somewhat modernizing the round top icon paintings and the later Pre-Raphaelites. I prepare my own Masonite panels and build my own frames, from salvaged woods when at all possible. I hope to bring the mystery and wonder to my work that I had as an introverted child, exploring science and nature’s massive shadow… reading, absorbing and drawing until all hours of the night… Just as today.”
